Apple’s head of Program Management, business, Go to market, and Growth for health strategic initiatives is leaving the company and is joining Levels as their Head of Business.
Maziar Brumand, who spent about nine years at Apple working in several areas, was instrumental to the success of LumiHealth and Apple in Singapore.
- Cardio Fitness levels feature on Apple Watch, here’s what you should know
- Monitor your metabolic health with these Apple Health compatible platforms
- Apple Watch Gesture detection to power Type-1 Diabetes management via Klue and Medtronic
Maziar announced his departure in a Linkedin post this week.
“Last Friday was my last day at Apple after ~9 years. My experience at Apple exceeded my expectations in every way. I had the privilege of working on meaningful projects with some truly exceptional people to help make a difference in the world! Thank you to everyone at Apple that made the experience special, especially David, Tim, Mithun, Myoung, among many others! Can’t wait to see what you do next!”
Maz’s departure from Apple’s health strategic initiatives follows other key departures from the team this year.
Earlier this year, we noted the departure of Myoung Cha, who left Apple and joined Carbon Health, an emerging health tech startup. Myong worked with the Apple Health Team and led the Health Strategic initiatives team at Cupertino.
This is a significant win for Levels, the metabolic health company that has already found decent success in this nascent market focussed on metabolic health.
Levels is improving metabolic health, one of the most worthwhile problems to tackle in the health and wellness space.
