OnePlus Smartwatch comes with big features such as Cobalt alloy material and a small price

Oneplus smartwatch features

After many months of rumors, OnePlus finally unveiled its first Smartwatch at the OnePlus 9 Series Launch Event today.

Although the OnePlus Smartwatch design looks similar to the Samsung Galaxy Active without the rotating bezel, this watch is fabricated to look sleek and appears very sturdy. The watch uses 316 steel in its fabrication, making it a sturdy watch.

The classic Oneplus watch comes in two color variants: Moonlight silver and midnight black.

The watch case is 46 mm in size, making it for a large display. The display is a sapphire crystal display with a 326 PPI resolution.

The company also provided some guidance around the second variant of their OnePlus Smartwatch. They unveiled a Cobalt Alloy premium edition of the smartwatch.

The new Cobalt Limited edition brings new frontiers for durability for a smartwatch. This is the first time cobalt alloy material has been used on a smartwatch.OnePlus watch cobalt edition

Cobalt alloy is hypoallergenic since it doesn’t have any nickel on it.

The watch comes with more than 50 different watch faces, or use your own watch photos to create a personal watch face.Oneplus smartwatch

When it comes to features, the smartwatch is packed with numerous features:

  1. Blood oxygen level monitoring – The watch tracks your SpO2 while you sleep as well.
  2. Stress Tracking
  3. The watch supports more than 110 different activity modes, from running to dancing and more.
  4. Automatically detect and track workouts.
  5. Integrates up to 500 songs onto the watch and plays seamlessly with the Oneplus EarPods

You can check notifications, messages, and more on your OnePlus watch. Specs-wise, the OnePlus Watch features 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and integrated speakers.

The watch runs on its own operating system, similar to Fitbit, and will not use wearOS as the platform.

According to the company, an iOS variant for the Oneplus Watch app will be made available in the future.

The watch also works as a remote control for your TV. You can turn on the TV, control the volume, etc.

If you are watching TV and fall asleep, the Oneplus Watch will automatically switch off your TV after 30 minutes since it can detect sleep activity.

Long Battery Life between Charges

Oneplus watch will go up to 2 weeks on a single battery charge. Even if you are a heavy user, the charge will go for a week.

It takes only 20 minutes to charge up the watch to get a week’s worth of battery juice. The watch will also feature a version of OnePlus’ Warp Charge system (promising a week of battery life off a 20-minute charge).

Pricing and Availability

The Oneplus watch will be available starting at $159. The cobalt limited edition pricing was not unveiled at today’s event.

We should be expecting more details around the premium smartwatch soon from OnePlus.

The Oneplus watches will be made available at the company’s website starting on April 14th.
