Some users have experienced issues trying to cancel Noom on their devices, from iPhones to Androids. Don’t worry! We are here to help.
For those of you that don’t know, Noom is a popular and new dieting app. Noom also runs as a subscription service.
You probably have seen their ads on tv or social media. The premise of the Noom app is that they use psychology to help facilitate weight loss.
The concept is very intriguing, so no wonder many people have tried it out and taken advantage of the free trial Noom offers.
But once that ends, you may realize it’s not for you. Or maybe the price isn’t worth it. Either way, you want to cancel your Noom subscription.
Although you might think that uninstalling the Noom app from your iPhone or Android device automatically cancels your subscription, it does not. Even if you no longer have (and use) the Noom app on your device, you continue to be charged for the subscription–you must cancel your membership to stop any future payments.
If you signed up for Noom and now want to cancel it but can’t figure out how to do so. Here’s the main thing you need to know:
The only way to cancel your Noom subscription is that you have to cancel your subscription the same way you activated it. AND make sure you cancel at least 24 hours before your current subscription (or free trial) expires!
This method makes canceling the subscription tricky because there are several ways to sign up. Think back to when you signed up, and keep scrolling to find the method that matches how you joined Noom.

On an Apple iPhone or iPad (iOS Device)
If you signed up for the Noom app on your iPhone, iPad, or another iOS device, you have to cancel Noom through the settings app on your device.
- So to cancel, go to the Settings app on your device.
- Then you’re going to want to open your Apple ID information.
- Tap on your name, and that brings up all your account information.
- Select Subscriptions and all your active subscriptions should appear.
- Tap Noom Coach, and you can cancel from there by selecting Cancel Subscription/Free Trial.
If you don’t see Noom on your Apple ID subscription list, then you’re going to have to follow the directions to cancel via the Noom app with one of their customer service agents.
On an Android Device
To cancel Noom from your Android phone, tablet, or another Andriod device, you must cancel your subscription through the Google Play Store.
- Open the Play Store and click on the Hamburger icon. The Hamburger icon has three horizontal lines.
- Then select Subscriptions.
- Choose Manage Subscriptions.
- Then select Noom, scroll down, and tap Cancel Subscription.
The Google Play Store then asks you why you are canceling your subscription.
You can select the reason that best matches your situation or select decline to answer. Then you’ll want to click Confirm Cancel Subscription.
On the Noom app
If you cannot cancel your subscription directly from your devices’ app store, do not worry. You should be able to cancel your subscription from the Noom app.
And if you signed up on Noom’s website, you can also cancel your Noom subscription this way.
To cancel your subscription directly from the Noom app, open the app on your device.
- Go to Settings and scroll down to Account.
- Then you’re going to want to select Manage Subscription.
Then you’ll be prompted to log in to your Noom account. After that, your subscription information should pop up, and the option to cancel should appear.
If it doesn’t appear, you should message your Noom Guide and let them know that you want to cancel your subscription. They should send you an email after with the next steps. If you didn’t get an email, check your spam folder.
If you don’t have the option to send a message to your Noom Guide, then that means you never activated or redeemed your Unique Program ID (UPID) number.
You’re going to have to redeem it if you want to cancel your Noom subscription.
To find your UPID, you need to go back to the welcome email you received from Noom when you first signed up for their service. Copy the number, and open the Noom app. Go to Settings, select Account, and click Redeem UPID.
On the Noom Website
To cancel Noom directly from their website, open up their website on your preferred browser. Then log in to your account via their subscription portal.
When you log in, your subscription information should appear in Subscription Details. And there will be a button that says Cancel Subscription. Click on that, and follow the directions that appear.
What to keep in mind when you cancel Noom
If you want to cancel Noom because your free trial is ending, keep this in mind. You need to cancel your free trial at least 24 hours before its expiration date, especially if you are on an iPhone. Otherwise, your credit card is going to get automatically charged.
If this happens to you, you can reach out to Noom’s customer support to attempt to receive a refund.
However, getting a refund is difficult. For purchases made directly on Noom’s app or website, ask a Goal Specialist (Coach) for a refund. Learn more about Noom’s refund policies here.
For purchases made directly via the App Store or Google Play Store subscriptions, Noom generally does not refund purchases made via your phone because the charge comes directly from Google or Apple. You may have to reach out to Apple Support or Google Support for a refund in this case.
Also, if you decide to cancel Noom while your subscription is active, you still have access to the Noom app and its features until the end of your current billing cycle.
Just so you know, if you delete the app, that does not get rid of the subscription. So make sure to confirm you successfully canceled your subscription!
When trying to cancel any subscription, you shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to do it. That’s one downside of having subscription services. But luckily, that’s why we’re here to help make the process a little bit easier for you.
