Get Inspired with Apple Time to Walk
According to Apple, Each episode is shaped by the guest’s personal, life-shaping moments and includes lessons learned, meaningful memories, thoughts on purpose and gratitude, moments of levity, and other thought-provoking topics, recorded while walking outside or in locations that are meaningful to them.
The narrative comes to life through photos that appear on Apple Watch, perfectly timed to amplify a corresponding moment the guest shares.
Following the guest’s stories, the experience extends with the guest introducing a short playlist of songs that has given them motivation and inspiration, so the listener can continue their walk to a soundtrack intimately connected to each guest.
Users can access content and commentary made with stories from country music star Dolly Parton, NBA player Draymond Green, musician Shawn Mendes and Emmy Award winner Uzo Aduba.
Apple plans on releasing new episodes from different guests each Monday through the end of April.
How does it work?
The time to walk episodes are automatically downloaded to Apple Watch with a Fitness+ subscription.
Once the users selects a Time to Walk episode using the workout app, the watch automatically launches a walk workout. Users can use any pace and a pair of Bluetooth headphones to enjoy the experience.
Episodes vary from 25 to 40 minutes and new episodes will appear automatically in the workout app on Apple Watch and users can also browse and select episodes directly from the Fitness+ tab in the Fitness app on their iPhone.
Once Time to Walk episodes are downloaded, a WiFi or cellular connection is not required. You do not need to have a cellular version of Apple Watch to enjoy this feature.
Each episode is a combination of talk and music. For example, Time to Walk with Shawn Mendes is designed for a total of 28 minutes, where the talk is 15 minutes and the music list is 12 minutes or three songs.
