Tip #1: Set up Family Sharing
One of the best features of Apple Fitness+ is Family Sharing. With Family Sharing, you can add multiple users to your plan. You can add up to 5 of your family members or close friends!
But do keep in mind that every user needs to have their own Apple Watch and iPhone/iPad. If you share devices, you can’t add them to your account.

Apple Fitness+ has a variety of fitness classes that you can choose to use. From cycling and rowing to yoga and dance classes, there’s a workout for everyone.
It’s easy to stick to what you like or stay in your comfort zone, but don’t be afraid to try something new. Who knows, You may enjoy it more!

Tip #3: Workout at your own pace
Everyone has their own set of limitations, and no one has the same endurance level. When you start working out using Apple Fitness+, be sure to set a comfortable pace for yourself.
The quick workouts may be tempting, especially if you don’t have the extra free time. But many users report that the shorter workout videos are a little intense for beginners.
Consider how your body feels, don’t feel like you need to push yourself to the extreme. Everyone’s fitness journey is a little different.
And for those that thrive on a little competition, don’t forget to check out Apple’s signature Burn Bar available on select workouts.
Tip #4: Be consistent
Whenever you start any workout plan or health regimen, consistency is always the key to success.
Experts say that it takes at least 21 days to form a new habit. Creating a schedule helps you stay on top of it and help hold yourself accountable.
But if you struggle with getting into new habits, that’s alright too. Don’t be too hard on yourself! Craft a routine that best fits your needs. You got this!
You can even schedule workouts right in the Apple Fitness+ app!
Tip #5: Don’t skip the cooldown!
After you finish your workout session, you probably exit the app. Right? I’ve been guilty of this too. But it’s important to remember to have a cool-down routine after your workout.
Cool-downs are necessary to your workout routine because it gives your body temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate the time to return to their normal levels. A cool-down helps prevent muscle cramps and soreness the next day.
Apple Fitness+ has many different cool-down videos. And all of these videos incorporate mindfulness into it! It’s like a two-for-one special on stretching and meditation! How relaxing!
Tip #6 Try not to be frustrated or discouraged when you experience glitches
Like any new piece of technology, Apple Fitness+ is not perfect at first. Technical difficulties happen to everyone. But we have the solutions to help you out!

Playback problems on your television?
If you have difficulties with the sound on your smart TV, that is a common problem. On some smart TVs, the sound from the Apple Fitness+ workouts does not play.
That is because Apple Fitness+ only supports smart TVs with AirPlay 2 and not earlier generations of AirPlay.
To fix that, you need to update to iOS/iPadOS 14.5 & watchOS 7.4 for AirPlay 2 support.

Tip #7: You don’t have to use an Apple Watch to access the workouts
You are probably just thinking did I read that right? I thought Apple Watches were required to use Apple Fitness+? Yes and no.
To subscribe to Apple Fitness+, either you or someone in your Apple Family Sharing group needs an Apple Watch to sign up. If no one in the group owns an Apple Watch, you can’t sign up.
All you need is at least one Apple Watch user to be in the group. Clever, right?
The only catch is that you do need an Apple Watch to view workouts on an Apple TV. But if you watch the workout videos on an iPhone or iPad, you technically do NOT need an Apple Watch to do so.
Tip #8: You don’t need new or expensive equipment to get the most out of the Fitness+ workouts
Many of Apple’s Fitness+ workouts don’t require ANY equipment (like dance, yoga, or HIIT) and even for those that do, you don’t need to go out and purchase special equipment.
You can use what you already have for Fitness+’s cycling, rowing, strength, and treadmill workouts
Apple does have a continually updated list of equipment they recommend, but none of it is required.
